Amazon Great Indian Festival 2022 Deals

Image
The Great Indian Festival has begun. And here are the deals I personally consider worth taking. As usual, since Tech Satori is gaming focused, majority of my recommendations will be gaming related. Also these recommendations are for Budget-Midrange "gaming" segments. But worry not, there will be deals for others as well. Also don't forget to check out Flipkart's Big Billion Days As well. Best Laptop Deals Slim and Light Laptops for everyone Asus Vivobook 15 X512DA-BQ301WS  Ryzen 3 3200U, 8GB RAM 256GB SSD - Although schools are open again but the many kids are still attending online classes, then this could be the right laptop for them as well as anyone else who do online work. It has a 1080p display and a 2 core 4 thread processor powerful enough to handle video calls/conferences and office suite. In fact it can even handle more than that. Are you overspending on SSD?

Image
Those who know me personally, they see me sharing a lot of SSD deals time to time on my social media. But recently encountered someone who was intent on getting a Gen 4 SSD for his budget gaming laptop. Now I get that it's his money, he can buy whatever he want as long as his PC supports it. But it was a clear example of overspending on something that you may not need.  I wrote an article last year explaining different types of SSDs. It can give you basic understanding of various types of SSDs and their best use case, but it still doesn't clarify which SSD should you be getting and when you're overspending. So I'll try to do that in this article. Can you see the difference between SSD types? While it is clear that Gen 4 PCIe SSDs are faster than Gen 3 and Gen 3 is faster than SATA SSDs, also Gen 5 SSDs are nearing launch which will fastest of all. But choosing the fastest isn't always the best choice. Specially when you're o...

Fix Minecraft crashing with OBS

Image
Disclaimer: This is neither a guaranteed fix nor a reliable one, just my findings as a Minecraft content creator. Issue symptoms: When running Minecraft Java Edition and OBS together, Minecraft often crashes, specially when you minimize Minecraft for a moment. If your symptoms aren't like that, feel free to stop and look for solution elsewhere. Also I'm on a laptop with Nvidia GPU, if you don't have Nvidia GPU, then this article is useless for you.  How did I fix my Minecraft crashing with OBS? Like I mentioned, I use a laptop with Nvidia GPU. All I had to do was to open GeForce Experience app, click settings(gear icon pointed by the hand on top right) and enable In-game overlay(enclosed in white rectangle).  Once again, as I mentioned in the beginning, this isn't a guaranteed fix. But it stopped crashing my Minecraft for my case. If this works for you then do let me know in comments. If it doesn't work then I am truly sorry but I don't know any other solutio...

How to run Minecraft Java on Dedicated GPU - Laptop User Guide

Image
I have been on Linux for a while and haven't used Windows for almost a year. Just a couple of days ago I installed Windows 11 on my Laptop. So I faced the issue that I almost forgotten about, Minecraft Java was running on iGPU(RX Vega 6 in my case) instead of GTX 1650 Max Q. While my iGPU is more than enough to play Minecraft with smooth FPS, running shaders will require the dedicated GPU.  Now that issue is also present on Linux as well, because graphical requirements of Minecraft is so low that it will run just fine on any recent processor with iGPU. But the solution to this issue in Linux was very simple, all I had to do was right click and select "Launch using Dedicated Graphics Card".  Unfortunately windows doesn't work that way. It has been so long that I forgotten the path to Minecraft Java executable in Windows system, so like any other user I turned to Google. Then I realized that top results on Google are outdated.  Example Article 1 Example Article 2 Update...

MaskGun Review - India's FPS Game

Image
Just a couple of days ago, MaskGun crossed 60 million downloads. Although I started testing it last month, my review got delayed due to some personal reasons. But, I'm glad it delayed, because I got to test my theory using anniversary sale. MaskGun : About the game MaskGun is a Multiplayer FPS game published by SuperGaming and is available for free on Android & iOS. It has mostly positive reviews on both platforms.  Game Modes : It currently has very few game modes and no Battle Royale mode. On public servers, you can earn Rewards like Gold, Exp and Loot Boxes. At the time of writing the review, only Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch are playable but there are clear indications of an upcoming Rumble(1v1) mode. I've also seen seen some other modes mentioned here and there like Control Point and Bomb Defusal, but I guess they keep cycling those "extra" modes as they're nowhere to be found in the game. I don't blame them as they claim "small game size...

Why You Should Build A Villager Trading Hall

Image
Villager Trading halls pretty popular among youtubers, specially the ones playing on servers. But why do they go through the trouble of building one? Should you invest your time setting up one in your world too? Here are my top 3 reasons why you should build a villager trading hall 1. Easy XP source early game: If you haven't built an efficient XP farm like Zombified Piglin farm or Endermen Farm, trading with villagers can yield high amounts of XP quickly. All you need is some cheap farms and relevant villager to trade with. For example, a tree farm and fletcher villager, Melon/Pumpkin farm and farmer villager, Sweet Berry farm and Butcher villager, etc. 2. Renewable source of rare and hard to obtain items: If you set up a mega trading hall with 5-10 villagers of each profession, then you may never have to go mining/hunting for some of the stuffs again. Like Redstone, Glowstone, Ender pearls from cleric, Golden carrots and Glistering Melon from farmers, Various tipped arrows fro...
