Amazon's Great Republic Day Sale is here

Amazon's Great Republic Day Sale is live now(only for prime members if you are reading this on the day of publishing). And once again, I'm back with my pick for gamers, techies and students. To keep the list short, I'll include only PC(laptop and desktop) and accessories, but if you'd like to see top picks from other categories, do let me know in the comments.

[Note: As usual, not all the deals are revealed on the day 1, so do check again if new products are included]

Laptops

There aren't many deals on high end laptops by the time of writing, so I'll mention the ones that are noteworthy.

HP Victus(Ryzen 5 5600H, RX 5500M) - RX 5500M definitely the best GPU you can find on budget laptops under INR 60,000. It lies between 1650 Ti and 1660 Ti in overall gaming performance. The only con with this laptop is that the screen is only 60Hz, there are other options available with 144Hz if you are into competitive gaming.

Asus TUF F15(i5-10300H, GTX 1650 Ti, 144Hz) - There is a 1650(non Ti) variant available for INR 1000 less, but personally, if I am spending over 50k, I wouldn't mind spending just 1000 extra for extra FPS, specially on 144Hz display.

Acer Nitro 5(i5-11400H, RTX 3050) - To be honest, RTX 3050 is not that powerful for ray tracing in AAA games and bottlenecked by 4GB VRAM as well for ultra graphics setting in modern games. But you still get DLSS support, which will definitely help a lot.

Desktops

ASUS ROG Strix GL10(Ryzen 5 5600X, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD+1TB HDD, RTX 3060 12GB) - Usually we techies recommend building your own PC over buying a pre-build. But, we are living in a strange time where buying a pre-build is way cheaper than building one yourself. Usually pre-builds from 3rd party system integrators(bitkart, smcinternational, etc) are cheaper than brand PC, but as I mentioned, we are living in strange times, this pre-build from ASUS is cheaper than any other pre-builds out there.

Lenovo Legion Tower 5(Ryzen 7 5800, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD+2TB HDD, RTX 3070 8GB) - First, I'd like to make it clear that it has Ryzen 7 5800, which is slightly lower clocked OEM only processor. At 1080p, you may notice the difference but 3070 is a 1440p tier GPU, the resolution at which CPU has lesser impact on the FPS you'll be getting. Once again, this pre-build is way cheaper than building your own or getting one from 3rd party SI.

Gaming Mouse

These are all similar grade gaming mouse(except the last two), so I'll just list them according to sale price(ascending order).

Corsair Harpoon Pro RGB

Corsair Katar Pro

Razer Deathadder Essential

Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury

Razer Viper Mini

Gaming Headset/Headphone

There aren't any noteworthy deals on headsets at the moment, so check again later.

However, Redgear Cosmo 7.1 and HyperX Cloud Stinger Core are available at attractive prices.

Memory/RAM

G.SKILL Ripjaws V 8GB 3000MHz CL16 - 3000MHz may seem slow when 3600MHz is becoming a new norm. But it is still fast enough for Intel processors as RAM speeds does not have as much of the effect as they do on AMD CPU. Great choice if you're building a budget desktop with 10th or 11th gen Intel i3/i5 processors. [con - red color may stand out if you are following a theme]

G.SKILL Ripjaws SO-DIMM 8GB 3200MHz - Good for upgrading RAM on those Ryzen 4000 and 5000 series laptops.

Patriot Viper Steel Series 8GB 3200MHz - If 3000MHz is too slow for you then this 3200MHz kit may be more suitable for you. Patriot is new in India but it is a well established brand overseas.

Crucial Ballistix 8GB 3200MHz(White) - White RAM sticks are usually pretty expensive, so this is a great deal for budget builder following white theme.

XPG ADATA GAMMIX D30 16GB 3200MHz - It is always recommended that you get atleast 32GB RAM if you're into video editing. On top of that, latest games are also pushing the 16GB mark, soon 32GB become a norm for gamers as well. So this 16GB stick under INR 4500 is a steal deal.
