Answering Your Minecraft Questions

 I was looking for new topics to write about and googling some random stuffs. Then suddenly I thought, why not answer a bunch of Minecraft question. I will not call myself a "Minecraft Pro" but I am experienced enough to answer most of your questions. So, I collected bunch of Minecraft related Google queries and answering all of them in this post..

Can we play PC Minecraft with mobile Minecraft without any plugins?

Yes and no. It depends on what version you(or your friend) have in your PC. As I explained in my another blog post, Minecraft has two major editions:

1. Minecraft Bedrock(Minecraft) : Available on PC, Consoles and Mobile devices(Smartphones and tablets).
2. Minecraft Java : Available on PC(Windows, Mac and Linux). 

And to confirm which version you own, just launch the Minecraft on your PC, Java edition specifically mentions Java in their Launcher as well as title screen.

Minecraft Bedrock is owned by Microsoft and requires Microsoft account. If you and your friend have Minecraft Bedrock then you can play together without any plugins. 

How to change/update Minecraft graphics?

Minecraft is a great game but the graphics can be underwhelming when you compare it to other games available today. But it does not mean that you can't change the graphics. There are tons of texture packs and mods available online. 

But your best bet will be Shaders. Texture packs are great but some of them are not up-to date with the game. This could result in mismatching blocks in the game. Shaders, on the other hand, don't usually change the textures that much. They mostly modify lighting and colors and some minute texture changes.

If I buy Minecraft on my phone via Google Play Can I play using the same account on my laptop?

Technically, yes. Even though Minecraft Android is also Bedrock, they are different games. Minecraft Microsft store purchase and Google Play purchase are different. You need to pay for them individually.

However, like I mentioned, you can still play the google play version on your laptop. Bluestacks now officially supports Minecraft. Bluestacks is an Android emulator that you can use to run a lot of Android apps on your laptop. 

How can I select items that I want to go in the beginner chest in Minecraft survival mode?

Minecraft beginner chest items are randomly generated. You can't really pick what is in there. But normally beginner chest are recommended only for first time players. If you are not a first time player, you should avoid beginner chest generation. 

 

At what moment should we go to the nether in hardcore Minecraft survival?

That depends on you. Whenever you think that you are ready, you can go into the nether. However, the new nether after the nether update became more dangerous. You should wear some sort of armour going into the nether, preferably enchanted. Hoglins do a lot of damage and their single hit can throw you in a Lava lake nearby. Also keep one golden armour piece with you, Piglins will attack you if they see you without golden armour.

How to get cobblestone in Nether Minecraft 1.16?

Cobblestone is only found in the overworld. If you are using some sort of data pack that lets you start the game in Nether, you can look for Blackstone instead. They can replace the cobblestone in most of the crafting recipe.

Does Minecraft take money again to update?

No. Currently the Minecraft License is valid for lifetime. So unless Mojang and Microsoft hands over Minecraft to someone else, you don't have to pay again. 

How to use nametag in Minecraft?

First, you need to rename the nametag. For renaming a nametag, you need an anvil and 1 xp level. Rename the nametag however you want and right click on any mob while holding the nametag. 

Naming a mob(specially hostile mobs) prevent them from despawning. So it helps in making certain farms(iron farm for example). Also there are some hidden Easter eggs

• Try renaming any mob to "Dinnerbone" or "Grumm"
• Try renaming a sheep to "jeb_"
• Try renaming a rabbit to "Toast"
• Try renaming a Vindicator to "Johnny"

Can we get diamonds in Pillager outpost chest?

No, Diamonds are naturally generated in following chests only:

• Mineshafts - Inside those Minecart with chest
• Buried Treasure - Those chests you find with Treasure Map
• Shipwreck Treasures
• Jungle Temple Chests
• Desert Temple Chests
• Nether Fortress Chests
• Bastion Remnant Chests
• End City chests
• Stronghold Chests
• Village chests - specifically in those Weaponsmith and Toolsmith houses

Note: These chests are not guaranteed to have diamonds, but if you want to find diamonds without mining, these are the places to look for.
