There are obviously thousands of deals this sale but I, as a PC enthusiast, am making a list of deals you shouldn't ignore if you are shopping for a budget-midrange PC build/setup. So without any further ado, let's look into all the great deals.
Processors
When Intel 12th gen was launched in 2022, they were good but affordability of AM4 was pulling the budget market towards AMD. But in 2024, tables have been turned. 12th gen Intel processors often go on sale with such good pricing that cheaper AM4 motherboard doesn't make a difference in final build cost.
Speaking of motherboards, there aren't any noteworthy discounts on motherboards, so I'm skipping them.
RAM
G.SKILL Aegis 8GB 3200MHz CL16
Now it doesn't seem to be any better than a typical 'naked' RAM at first glance but it does have better CL timings. Which makes it better choice for low budget i3-12100F build. Yes you can get better RAM with proper heatsink by paying ₹500-1000 more but it is perfectly adequate for a ₹30,000-40,000 PC build.
And if you are going with i5-12400F instead, then I'll recommend the TeamGroup T-Force Delta RGB(2x8GB) kit. You can get something like Silicon Power Xpower Turbine or get other inexpensive single sticks like G.SKILL Ripjaws or Adata D30, etc, but the heatsinks on TG T-Force looks much better.
SSD
With how demanding Windows has become, SSD are a 'must have' nowadays. Specially if you are buying a new PC. And if you are building a PC with modern components(Intel 12th gen and newer or Ryzen 3000 and newer) then your system almost definitely supports a Gen3 NVMe SSD at the least. SATA 2.5in SSDs are still cheaper but M.2 NVMe SSDs are much more affordable now and definitely worth the price difference. I will still share both SATA and NVMe deals in case you have older system that only accepts SATA SSD.
WD SN580 1TB - This is a no brainer under ₹6000. Yes there are more affordable options that claim to be faster like Crucial P3 Plus but SN580 offers much higher endurance rating. While 220 TBW of P3 plus is still enough for average user, SN580 is faster overall.
Crucial BX500 500GB - A perfect budget option to breathe a new life in an older PC. Although I just recommended WD over Crucial for NVMe drive, that decision was based on value for money aspect. If there are no clear advantages of the alternative, you can blindly pick Crucial. Trust me, Crucial just works.
Graphics Card
RTX 4060 - When RTX 4060 came out, it wasn't well received in tech community mainly because 3060 had 12GB VRAM and it has only 8GB. But in Indian market, it was still a decent choice if your use case requires you a NVIDIA GPU and despite all the hate, it is a noticeable upgrade over 3060. And it was priced similarly to its rival AMD Radeon RX 7600. Now sale offers brings the price down under ₹25k, making it excellent value for money.
RX 6600 - A GPU with such a great value for money that it eclipses its own successor; RX 7600. With all offers applied, the effective price goes under ₹18k.
Monitor
I'll mention just 1 monitor here as almost all good monitor got price cut and you should find one for yourself on your own.
Acer EK220Q - At first glance, its specs seem very unimpressive. 21inch VA panel with 100Hz refresh rate. If you pay just a little more then you can get 75-100Hz IPS monitor. What makes it important is the price point, if you go to your local market, you will only find 19in monitors with 1366x768p TN panel under ₹5,000. And that EK220Q is definitely much better than them.
Headset
Corsair HS35 V2 - It was sort of a quiet launch, only people like me who keep up with Corsair knew about that launch. Being an entry level product from a premium brand, there are a lot of build quality compromises but still significantly better build quality than likes of pTron, boAt, etc. Mic sounds professional grade, audio quality is great. Hard to recommend anything else in the price range.
Highly recommended if you are planning to start a gaming YouTube/Twitch career on a budget.
Microphone
Speaking of gaming YouTube/Twitch career on a budget, if you already own a decent set of earphones/earbuds like Realme Buds 2, Apple Earpods, IEMs, etc than all you need is a decent enough lavalier mic or if you have some money to spare then something like Maono AU-PM461TR.
Antivirus
Most of the tech community will admit that Widows defender has gotten so good that you technically don't need an antivirus anymore, specially the popular free ones like Avast, AVG, Avira, etc.
But if you still want a 3rd party anitivirus, then Bitdefender is the best choice. Yes, typical antivirus reviews rank McAfee, Norton and Kaspersky on top but we the PC enthusiast community will pick Bitdefender over them any day. This Bitdefender Antivirus Plus is all that is needed by most people.
That's all for now, if you need any other recommendation, feel free to reach out.
