Component list of the Henry Cavill PC Build video

Henry Cavill, best known for his roles as Superman and The Witcher, uploaded a video on his Instagram on July 16.

This video shows him building a PC with a seductive music and has became viral among his fans and PC Building community alike. Being a PC Enthusiast, I was wondering what parts he used. Which led me thinking, maybe other people were also asking the same. So I tried my best to identify each component to save you some time pausing the video multiple time to try to make some sense out of blurred labels.

So, what PC parts did Henry Cavill use in his PC build video?

If you have some experience in PC Building then you can identify most of the components from this image

But, if you're not a veteran and these boxes don't make a sense to you then don't worry, I'll try my best to name each of them for you(so that you can get the same PC as your favourite actor or whatever the reason you're interested in the list).

The processor used in Henry Cavill PC Build Video

He blurred Ryzen logo on the box but he forgot to blur out the model name. You can see Ryzen 9 at the bottom. While it is not enough to identify the exact model, fortunately there are only 3 models in the Ryzen 9 lineup at the moment. So you can pick one of the following according to your budget.
Henry Cavill PC Build

1. Ryzen 9 3900X

  • 12 Cores 24 Threads
  • Base clock 3.8GHz
  • Boost clock 4.6GHz
  • Cooler: Wraith Prism RGB included
  • Default TDP: 105W
  • Price: $420-430 (₹44,000-46,500)

2. Ryzen 9 3900XT

  • 12 Cores 24 Threads
  • Base clock 3.8GHz
  • Boost clock 4.7GHz
  • Cooler: Not included, liquid cooler recommended
  • Default TDP: 105W
  • Price: $498 (not yet available in India)

3. Ryzen 9 3950X

  • 16 Cores 32 Threads
  • Base clock 3.5GHz
  • Boost Clock 4.7GHz
  • Cooler: Not included, liquid cooler recommended
  • Default TDP: 105W
  • Price: $690-700 (₹65,000-70,000)
Pick any of these three, all of them perform somewhat similar in gaming(considering you'd be pairing it with something capable of 1440p or 4k gaming).

The Cooler used in Henry Cavill PC Build Video

Well it was an easy one to identify, it is NZXT Kraken Z73. A 360mm AIO usually sold for around $300. If you're in India then you won't easily get the Z73. So if you want that temp readings like Henry's PC, buy Gigabyte Aorus 360 instead for approx ₹18,000-19,000.

The Motherboard used in Henry Cavill PC Build Video

Once again, he did a good job of hiding branding on the box but there were enough text to deduce that it was a ROG Crosshair family motherboard and the motherboard itself in the rest of the video looked awfully lot like an Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero. Which usually costs around $530-550 for WiFi model. But they're not in stock at the moment here in India, You can opt of Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Formula which costs around ₹50,000.

The RAM used in Henry Cavill PC Build Video

Once again, it's hard to guess exact specs of the RAM but it was quite evident that it was one of the G.Skill TridentZ RGB. So I'd recommend you should get G.Skill TridentZ Neo(or just non Neo). Depending on the use case scenario, I'd recommend 16GB(2x8GB) DDR4 3600MHz for purely gaming, 32GB or 64GB DDR4 3600MHz for video editing. But for any reason, if you can't afford the 3600MHz or it is not available for purchase in your area then 3200MHz will also do. But I think if TridentZ are not available then you can definitely find Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB or Thermaltake TOUGHRAM instead. Those two look equally good.

The Graphics Card used in Henry Cavill PC Build video

Well it was one of easiest component to identify because you can clearly see on the top of the box that it is clearly an Asus Strix Gaming RTX 2080 Ti OC which can be bought for approx $1300 or ₹1,30,000.

Storage used in Henry Cavill PC Build Video

There seems to be two boxes of Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD which is the best Gen 3 NVMe SSD you can buy. Once again it is hard to identify exact storage capacity but considering his wealth, I'm assuming both are at least 1TB. Price of 1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus is approximately $190 or ₹20,000.

Now let's be honest, Seasonic is not that common in India so it is hard for me to identify the exact model but if I were to guess from what's visible, it looks like a 80+ Gold unit. And considering the usual chosen capacity in PC builds of such budget, it's either 850W or 1000W unit. Which would cost in the range of $250-400 depending on the brand and modularity or ₹10,000-18, 000 in India.

Cabinet/Case/Chassis used in Henry Cavill PC Build video

Once again my apologies as Fractal Design is not so popular brand in India, so I might be wrong about the model. But it looked like a Fractal Design Define 7. Again I could be wrong, so consult someone else to identify exact model. I'd recommend Lian Li Lancool 2 mesh of Phanteks Eclipse P500A for high airflow build but since both of them are not easy to find in stock everywhere, you can consider Cooler Master H500 lineup(just stay away from non mesh H500P).

Monitor used in Henry Cavill PC Build video
Henry Cavill PC Build

Once again not clear texts to read from the box but I was able to read "PG27U". So if I'm right, it is Asus Swift PG27UQ, which is a 4K 144Hz IPS monitor. It is a hard to find in stock online with right prices, so you should consider other options if you can't get one at reasonable price. If you're wondering about the price, it is $2000 monitor.
Rest of the peripherals are not recognizable for me, so sorry about those. But the keyboard looked like a Razer product. Unfortunately for headset and mouse, I don't have any clue.
So these were the list of components used in Henry Cavill PC Build Video
